READING (updated 4-12-10) We are reviewing for the coming Star test. Students are recieving handouts with specific tasks. If you're not sure what your child should be doing, please contact me at this web site on the contact page. I will e-mail you my phone number so we can talk directly. Students should continue reading every night.
Every week we will have a reading comprehension test. Students need to use their reading skills, diagraming through graphic organizers, expanding vocabulary by looking words they find in a dictionary, using context clues and other Walk-to-Learn strategies. There is no preparation for this test other than reading the Literature Circle Book and doing the required work (see Language Arts page). If your child keeps up with the homework, they will do remarkably well on the comprehension tests. Read your "choice" (library book) book every night and write in your response journal on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Be sure to keep up with your reading log and enter the pages read every night. |
Reading for Suni Mills is currently under construction. Please come back later.
