"Party Girl is about a little girl from an LA gang whose friend gets shot. Ana got shot the same night that Kata and her have a dance competition. Ana tells Kata how she feels about their life and how she wanted to run away because she was pregnant."

"This book is about a girl whose aunt died. She finds out that her aunt was really her mom and her mom is her aunt. She gets in some trouble from spray painting bull's eyes which represent her, her mom, and her dad, and she finds out that he is dead and she has a brother. She has to do community service and meets a little girl named April. April is abused at home, so the girl keeps her at her house with her "mom" who she hated for not telling her the truth before. She learns that its not important if you're related or not, its about how close you feel to someone."
