Q |
How do I contact someone for Help? |
 |
A |
Click on the link to the left called ‘Contact Us’ or simply e-mail homelinkaccts@lmusd.org. We don’t have a large support staff, so please make sure to have read all of the help pages to try to resolve your issue first. When you do e-mail, include the your name, the student’s name, school, grade and your daytime phone number. |

Due to security issues, we do not provide verification codes over the phone or in e-mail. You will need to contact us and a replacement code will be mailed to your home address. |

Q |
I was disrupted while making my account, now it won't let me start over. |
 |
A |
The first thing the account wizard does is save your e-mail and password. Therefore, just go to the HomeLink log on screen and enter your e-mail and password. When you click on 'logon', it will take you to where you left off. |

Q |
How do I add my other children? |
 |
A |
If you have more than one student and have their verification code, log on to HomeLink with the account that you set up for the first student. Then, in the top right of the screen is a drop down list labeled 'Current Student'. In that list is an entry for 'Add Additional Student Not Currently Listed'. |

6) |
Q |
Do I have to setup a new account every year? |
 |
A |
No, once you set up an account for a child, it lasts for their entire enrollment with Lucia Mar Unified School District. However, if a child dis-enrolls for a period of time and then returns the new account process may need to be repeated. |

Q |
How current is the information shown in HomeLink? |
 |
A |
The information is real time. As soon as data is posted to the database, you can see it. Attendance is posted before the end of the day, but generally in the morning for elementary schools and early in the period for secondary schools. |

8) |
Q |
I have a question about some data in HomeLink. |
 |
A |
Contact the school directly. They will direct you to the person to talk to about the item you wish to talk about. For example, if you need to clear an absence or to talk about a homework assignment. |

9) |
Q |
I don't want someone to see my child's records. |
 |
A |
At this time, only those who have a mailing address and are set up to receive a student's report card will be given a verification code. If the verification code is kept private, other people in the contact list will not be given access. If you have an extreme situation, please contact the school. They can restrict users from getting an automatic account through the web site for that child. |

Q |
When I try to e-mail the teacher I get a dialog box asking for my e-mail configuration. What do I do? |
 |
A |
You don't have a default e-mail client configured on you computer. Right click on the e-mail address for the teacher and select copy shortcut. Then, you can paste it into the TO section of your e-mail software. This often happens for those who use Internet mail systems like Yahoo or Hotmail. |

11) |
Q |
Why do I see listings for my student in other schools? |
 |
A |
Near the end of the school year, we put all students into the summer schools and make them 'Inactive'. As students are enrolled in summer school, that status changes. Also, if your student is to promote to a different school next year, you will see them tagged as 'Inactive' in that school. |
