Jade Winning the 800m Video: http://www.runnerspace.com/eprofile.php?event_id=2537&do=videos&video_id=88839
Jade Fuller shatters the school record by about 1.5 seconds and sets a personal best by 2.5 seconds. She was also crowned CIF Div. 2 champion in the 800m. Jade ran a smart and controlled race. Her first lap was 65 seconds and she raced like an experienced 800m specialist picking off runners in the 3rd 200m to catch the leaders (two of them collided and fell) and the race was on with Jade using her momentum off the last turn to outkick the leader and run her last lap in 68 seconds to win in 2:13.93. Jade has had a phenomenal senior season with her league championship, league meet record, school record, and CIF championship in the 800m. Her hardwork, committment, focus, and her ability to stick to the race plans have paid off. We are very proud of you Jade!

5/11/13 CIF Prelims at Moorpark HS
Great Job distance squad at CIF Prelims. The temperature was hot and so was the races. All of our athletes had strong showings in their respective events. Highlights for the distance squad included Jade Fuller's personal best time of 2:16.38 and qualification to CIF Finals with her strong finish. Elizabeth displayed couragous racing in the 1600m and in the 800m where she took the lead in the second lap. Her 1600-800m double deserves some praise 5:07 and 2:17.

5/2/13 PAC 7 League Finals at Atascadero
Tenacity, Courage, hardwork, confidence, dedication, and commitment were all words that can describe the summary of our distance squad's season and League Finals performances. Wow, what a day! We are very proud of all of you. The girls went 1, 3, 6 in the 1600m; 1, 2, 3 in the 800m (clean sweep); and 2, 5, 6 in the 3200m. The boys took 4th in the 1600m; 2, 3, 6, 7 in the 800m; and 6th in the 3200m. Three of the legs for the boys CIF qualifying 4 x 400m relay team were distance runners. There were 3 updates to the All Time List, 7 qualifiers to CIF in individual events, 1 meet record, 2 league champions, 2 runner up league champions, and 11 personal bests set at league finals from our distance squad. We showed up to compete and looked fabulous in the process. Highlights of the meet included Elizabeth's toe to toe show down with her rival from SLO. She pulled off the win powering through the line missing the meet record by .4 with her personal best time of 5:03.33. Jade was determined to back up her sophmore league championship run in the 800m with a dominating performance (64 first lap) leading the girls to 1-3 sweep and meet record time which included Frosh Angie (2:18.17 #7 All Time), and Elizabeth (2:18.08-stellar double). What a way to finish her senior league Finals meet after being hurt last year at this time. Blake and Johnny Nicks wasted know time taking care of business in the 800m by getting out quickly with the top ranked St. Joes runner, which seperated the field in the first 200m. These boys followed their race plans with precision and ended up finishing 2nd and 3rd with huge personal bests along with their mesmerizing performance (Blake 1:56.22 #4 All Time) and (John Nichols 1:58.81). Other noticeable performances were Jocelyn's 3rd place finish in the 1600m following her race plan, Leah's runner up finish in the 3200m, Jonathan's 4th place finish in the 1600m, John Miles personal best 9:55 in the 3200m, Jennifer's personal best 2:36 in the f/s 800m; and Jaisen's personal best 4:48 in the f/s 1600m.

The AGHS Distance squad represented themselves very well at the 2013 edition of the Arcadia Invitational. The girls 4x800m started things off with a bang by placing 2nd in the Invitational section with the 3rd fastest time in the country and a school record. 3 of the 4 girls set personal bests and are either freshman or sophmores (What does that mean for next year!). Jade started things off for the girls showing her experienced racing tactics by pulling herself from 10th to just behind the leader going into the exchange. Freshman Angie and then Jocelyn where able to keep 2nd place for us and Elizabeth was able to use her aggressive racing style to seal second place for us in this national caliber performance. The boys 4x800m placed third in a school record time and were highlighted by breakout performances from Everet "Roscoe" and Nate, which experienced solid pr's. The boys and girls 4x1600m both competed well and had respectable finishes with the girls setting another school record. The boys competed aggressively in the DMR on Saturday to finish 9th Place and the girls came back Saturday night and burned up the track in their 3rd Inviatational race and school record performance of the meet. Great Job Distance Squad and what an opprtunity to experience state and national caliber competition.

3/16/13 Maurice Greene Invite at Oaks Christian
The Distance Squad competed in thier first competitive Invite of the season at a stellar facilty at Oaks Christian. Our runners were able to experience large races and learned the importance of getting into good position in the beggining of a race. Quite a few runners achieved personal bests which is great for this time of the season considering that we are in a phase right now which includes the demands of volume and intensity in their training and races through out the week. Great job distance squad, we are looking fit.

3/7/13 Righetti Dual Meet at AGHS
We literally just beat the rain for this meet, because as soon as the 4x400m relays finished, it started raining. What a memorable meet for the boys squad especially the seniors. The Eagle Harriers beat Righetti on their home turf in each of the distance events. The boys followed their tactical plans and school was in session in each race. The day started out with a clean sweep in the boys 1600m, which was complete after Trevor came from behind in the last 50 meters to out kick Righetti's top miler for 3rd place. John Nichols set a quick pace for the Righetti boys in the 800m which allowed Everet (Roscoe) and Nate to come on strong the last 200m and Nate was able to pull off the win right at the line. The same thing happened in the boys 3200m with Joey setting a quick pace which allowed Jonathon (Punisher) and Trevor to work the second mile and build up a punishing lead to finish 1-2 in the event. Great Job distance squad!

Our runners competed ver well in less than ideal conditions where the strong wind gusts reached between 25 and 30mph. The back strecth of the track was like running against a brick wall. Jocelyn ran tough in the freshman mile placing 4th, Joey placed 6th in the freshman mile, Josh placed 3rd and Blake 4th in the B section of the 800m, and Emily placed 4th in the 3200m. Congrats! She finished in a school record time of 2:15.37 after being sick for a week only running a couple days between CIF Finals and Masters. Jessica is a trooper and put her strength and competitve nature to a test on Friday evening. Congratulations to Jessica Morosoli for placing 4th in CIF Finals in a school record time of 2:15.38 eclipsing the old record set by Karlee Owens in 2008 of 2:15.50. Jessica even found herself qualifying as an alternate to the CIF Masters Meet. Jessica ran a very smart race getting out smooth and relaxed the first 200m in perfect position on the outside of lane 1. She went through the first 400m in 65.5 and kept contact with 3rd and and 5th place on the backstretch and finished srong down the home stretch to secure 4th place in 2:15.38, whcih was a second lap split of 69.88. Great Job Jessica, we are proud of you!
5/12/12 CIF Prelims at Moorpark HS
Our athletes competed very well in the highly competitive CIF Div. 2 Prelims. Jessica ran her perfect race in the 800m by going out in a blazing 65 seconds still keeping contact with the leaders who were through in 63.8. Jessica's second lap was key, because she maintained contact on and pushed the backstrecth and finished strong down the straight away in a 4 second pr, qualifying for CIF Finals, and she was .4 seconds off the school record. Blake and David competed tough in a tactical 800m were the leaders went through in 58 seconds, and both finished strong with Blake leading the way to a 3rd place finish and solid time of 2:00.45. Hannah Stevens got out after it in the first heat of the 3200m coming through her first mile in 5:30. She tried to maintain contact but the lead pack made a strong strong surge in the 5th lap and Hannah found her self in no mans land in the toughest part of the race, but finished strong in 11:23. Emily also got out very well in the 2nd heat of the girls 3200m coming through the first mile in 5:32. She was able to maintain contact with a few runners through the second half of the race which helped pull her to a six second pr of 11:27, which moves her to #8 All Time. Trevor was able to get out in good position in a tactical and physical heat of the boys 3200. Trevor came through the first mile in 4:46 throwing elbows, surging, and fighting for position. He maintained contact with the front pack until the final 2.5 laps where their pace was a little to much to handle. Trevor fnished strong in his second best time of the season 9:48 and with a great experience of being in a fast and physical race. Great Season Distance Squad!

The Boys Frosh/Soph 1600m was an exciting race to watch, because a blistering pace was set in the beginning and John Miles and Joey got after it and were able to finish strong for 2nd and 3rd place in pr times. The Varsity girls 1600m was a true battle between SLO and AG with freshman Jocelyn Reynolds following the punishing pace that Hoffman from SLO set. The pace was a little to much for Jocelyn who still finished in 5th and a great freshman time of 5:17, meanwhile Jessica hunted the chase pack and outkicked Rennick from SLO for 2nd Place and a blazing time of 5:09. The Girls Varsity 800m seemed a little tactical with Freshman Elizabeth Heyde controlling the first 300m, but soon after Hoffman from SLO took the lead and the race was on. The last 50 meters was exciting to watch with Jessica from the outside lane and Elizabeth from the inside sandwiching Rennick from SLO and digging deep for a 2nd and 3rd place finish. Elizabeth ran a scorching freshman time of 2:21 and Jesica completed a fantastic runner up double in the 1600m/800m. In the Boys Varsity 800m Blake Maule ran on Zander's heels the whole way to a 2nd place and sub 2:00 finish and David kicked it in with his usual finishing face for 4th Place and a pr of 2:00.9. The Girls 3200m was a great race to watch as the two seniors Hannah Stevens and Emily Johnston controlled the first half of the race and then held on and pushed the second half to finish 2nd and 3rd place with pr's. In the Boys 3200m Trevor Cowan rolled with the front pack running with confidence and took the lead with 3 laps to go and eventually held on for 2nd place in a pr time followed by a train of pr's from the boys distance squad. Great Job Distance Squad, We are proud of you!

4/6/12-4/7/12 Arcadia Invitational
The Distance Squad represented AG to the fullest at the Arcadia Invite by setting three Distance relay school records, running quite a few personal bests, bringing home some hardware including a win, and competing tactically well against competitive fields. To start things off on Friday, the girls 4 x 800m relay raced to a 4 second win and school record time of 9:31 (2:22.8 average per leg) in the seeded race. The amazing part of this is that there were two freshman on this squad. Last year they ran 9:54 in this race. Three of the girls Jessica, Elizabeth, and Jocelyn ran personal bests, and Jade anchored us to a victory. The boys ran very well in the seeded 4 x800m relay by setting a school record time of 8:06 (2:02 average per leg) and Josh, David, and Blake all ran personal bests. In the girls 4 x 1600m Invitational relay (first time our distance squad has been in a invitational relay), the girls stormed to a 9th place finish against the state's best runners, set a 15 second school record 21:18 (5:19.5 average), and three of the girls set personal bests (Jocelyn, Elizabeth, and Jessica). The boys 4 x 1600m relay was highlighted by a strong anchor leg by Josh and a personal best by Trevor. The distance medley relays on Saturday were highlighted by strong performances by the AG boys and girls teams. Josh and Jessica both got each team out well in the 1200m leg and iwe were in the top 4 in both relays through out the race. Jade ran a very strong 800m leg 2:21.9, a second off of her pr. Great Job distance crew, you are setting the stage for the distance squad and building off of a already strong legacy.

800m: Josh 1:58.5, Blake 2:00.4, David 2:01.4, Jessica 2:20.9, Elizabeth 2:23.0, Jocelyn 2:24.2
4/5/12 St. Joes Dual Meet
The varsity and JV squad stepped up this meet to score points for the top Varsity runners who were resting for a busy weekend at Arcadia. Blair Libby looked very confident in full stride to double wins in the 1500m and 3000m. John Miles was just on his tail in both races and was pushed to a midseason 1500m/1600m pr of 4:26/4:46. Alex Vong had a breakout day for the JV squad hitting huge double pr's in the 1500m/1600m 5:06/5:29 and in the 800m 2:32. Great Job!

3/31/12 SLO County Meet at Cuesta
The SLO County Meet started off with great running conditions until the rain and wind came rolling in the 2nd half of the meet when the coaches 4x100m relay was under way. The 1600m were exciting events to watch with Freshman Jocelyn Reynolds blowing the frosh/soph field away with a confidence building effort of 5:23. In the boys frosh/soph four lap event Jordan, Kevin, and Kyle all ran tactically smart races which lead them to solid pr's. In the girls varsity 1600m Jessica continued her success in the event with a pr of 5:14, which moves her down to #6 on the all time list. In the boys varsity 1600m Josh and Punisher (Jonathon) both ran with the pack and Josh went for the win with 200m to go, but had to settle for 2nd (solid effort for being sick). Both Josh and Jonathon ran great midseason times of 4:25 and 4:32. In the half miles things got interesting with the rain and wind. Jocelyn ran another gutsy race which lead her to her second win of the day outkicking her competitor in the final straightaway. John Nichols battled through his sickness and dominated the frosh/soph 800m working the 3rd 200m with a pr of 2:06.03. Jessica and Jade placed 2nd and 3rd respectively in the 800m behind Savanna Camacho who set a meet record. Blake showed his confidence and put the top 800 meter runner in the county Zander (Paso) to a test by throwing down a hard 3rd 200m and still finished in a excellent 2nd place with a time of 2:04.2 in those rough conditions. Great Job Everyone!

3/24/12 Santa Barbara Easter Relays
The Distance Squad experienced a taste of success by winning and setting a couple of school records in the distance relays at this past weekends SB Easter Relays. The Girls 4 x 800m Relay and the Boys Distance Medley both won and set school records. Jessica anchored the girls 4 x 800m to a come from behind win. She made up about 40 meters in the first 500m to continue to drop a negative split of 71-70 over the second lap (2:21 800m split). Blake stretched out the lead for the Boys DMR in the 3rd leg and ran a confident/quick pr of 2:02.0 800m going out in 58 sec the first lap. The Boys Frosh/Soph DMR all ran very strong legs and left it upon John Miles to bring home a win for the Boys with a solid mile split of 4:52. John Nichols experienced a massive pr in the 1500m running a tactically smart race/splits to boast a 4:12.48 which is equivalent to a 4:31 1600m. It was very impressive to see the distance squad run very confident and aggressively against quality competition. Training is going well and your races are a sign of your fitness level. Great Job!

3/22/12 Paso Robles Dual Meet at AGHS

Jessica, John N, and Blake looked like two mile specialist cruising 8 laps in personal bests. Not bad for inexperienced 3200m runners.

3/17/12 Atascadero Invite
Saturday was definetly a stormy day that involved heavy rain, hail, and gusts of wind that blew over canopies left and right. Our kids still got on the track and gave it their best effort through these adverse conditions. Stevie D started the day off with a fantastic pr in the 3200m 10:11 followed by Libby and John Miles who pr'd in 10:20. Jessica Morosoli almost got a pr in the 800m running 2:21.9 with a negative split 70,71 which shows her strength in these stormy conditions. Freshman Jocelyn Reynolds was in a perfectly paced 1600m where she pr'd in 5:33 (awesome freshman time), and Josh Davis went after a pr in the 1600m, but the weather was not ideal and he still lead the boys, which all five finished in the top 6 and in 4:40 or better.

Jessica had a breakout race in the 1600m putting up a tough fight against the SLO girls running the #7 time on the all time list 5:15.8. Jocelyn and Elizabeth also ran solid freshman times. Jocelyn ran 5:40 in the 1600m and Elizabeth 2:26 in the 800m.

3/3/12 Bearcat Relays at Paso Robles
The distance squad continued the start of their season with personal bests and three meet records at the Bearcat Relays. We set meet records in the Boys Distance Medley Relay with a time of 10:47.1 (old record 10:59 set by SLO); Girls Distance Medley Relay with a time of 12:48.4 (old record 12:56.5 set by Templeton); and in the Boys 4x1600m Relay with a time of 18:48 (old record 18:50 set by SLO). Everyone looked smooth, strong, and in control. Our whole squad posted impressive early season marks and for some personal bests, which is not surprising based off of our quality preseason training. What you put into it is what you get out of it and this is definetly showing.

3/1/12 Righetti Dual Meet at Righetti
Great Job Distance Squad, what a way to open up the season. You guys looked fit and your hardwork is paying off. Great things to come based off of these early season marks. The boys distance squad was very dominant in the Varsity 1600m by having all 10 boys run 4:50 or under and Josh led a 1st through 4th place sweep. This is the first time this boys distance squad has had this much depth. The boys and girls swept all of the distance events. Emily, Jocelyn, and Jessica looked very strong running in the cool windy weather in their respective events.

Golden West: The distance squad competed well in tactical races at Golden West. After a nice long trek up to Sacramento, Jade and Jessica opened things up with the 800m. After not racing for a couple of weeks Jessica came close to her pr running a 2:22.9 and Jade had a rough race after battling back from being sick a couple weeks ago to finish in 2:30. Hannah Stevens finished 8th in a tactical mile running 5:20 (5:18 1600m) and ran tough. Josh finished third in the boys mile in another tactical and spread out race to finish in a solid 4:28 (4:26 1600m) all the while a fire was under way in some brush next to the track stadium.

On the girls side, Natalie had a nice kick for a victorious finish in the girls 1600m, Hannah negative split in the 3200m and Jessica and Jade (JJ 800m Crew) finished strong for a 1-2 finish in the 400m. On the boys side Libby and David finished strong to go 1-2 in the boys 1600m, Blake experienced a win in the 800m going out quickly (sub 60), and Josh cruised to a nice negative split in the boys 3200m.

4/8/11 and 4/9/11 Arcadia and Dos Pueblos Invite
Arcadia is always exciting and this year was no exception. The highlight of the meet was the girls 4 x 800m squad running a school record of 9:54.3 and finishing 12th. The girls split the following: Jessica 2:26.4; Natalie 2:30.3 (Huge PR); Emily 2:33; Jade 2:23.9 (Huge PR). The girls came back later on in the evening to run a very strong 4 x 1600m with a couple pr's. These relays were very deep, competitive, and needless to say crowded. Great Experience! The team rolled out at Dos Pueblos with John N. dominating the freshman boys 1600m (dusting the field), John M. continuing a pr streak; Blake running a pr, and Libby and David dominating and going 1-2 in the junior boys 1600m. The Arcadia crew missed you guys and we wish the whole distance squad could have experienced Arcadia "It's the Mecca of Track". Lets's stay healthy and get ready to roll this second half of the season.

What a Beautiful day for a Elvis Mile out at Cuesta. There were several sitings of Elvis by the Distance Squad during the annual Elvis Mile workout. People started to see Elvis on the third 400m, but alot more saw him on the 4th 400m. This was a very solid workout for everyone and is a great sign for good things to come. Stay healthy!!!

Jade lead the sweep with a pr time of 5:36 and Jessica finished just behind her in a pr of 5:37. Punisher also ran a solid pr in the boys 1600m putting up a fight against Zander from Paso. 3/28/11 SLO Dual Meet at AGHS
Another great day of racing for the Distance Squad. With only a day recovery from the County Meet we were able to come back and run very strong against a very fit SLO team. The girls 1600m was the fasest girls 1600m I have yet to see on AGHS's track where the SLO girl won in a blazing 5:15 and Hannah trailed in a very strong effort in 5:17. Hannah came back in the 3200m to run a fast double and almost win in 11:39. Natalie had a huge pr in the 3200m by 22 seconds in 11:58. Josh got his redemption against his rivals in the 1600m by cruising to victory in 4:36 and Nate finally pushed the third lap and kept contact to run a couple second pr on our track in 4:45. Jessica rolled out in the 800m almost winning (driving all the way through the line) and running a huge three second pr in 2:24.7. Jonathon ran a two second pr in the 800m 2:08, but most importantly he punished the third 200m and powered down the homestretch almost getting the win. Libby ran a 7 second pr in the 3200m 10:27 placing thrid and Josh helped push him the last lap to finish strong. Great Job Crew, I love the way we are racing.

The pr's continued on Saturday with Jonathon rolling sub 4:40, John Miles running sub 5:00, and Katelyn sub 6:00 in the wet conditions. There were numerous other pr's listed below. The highlight of the meet was jade's performance in the 800m were she powered down the back stretch (worked the 3rd 200m) and held off Maddie Cline from Paso on the home stretch for a solid win. Our girls dominated the 800m with Jade placing first, Jessica placing third, and Hannah Stevens placing fourth. Nate had a break out performance in the 800m powering down the homestretch to place second in a huge 4 second pr of 2:04. Other solid performances were Josh battling it out in the 1600m to place second, Hannah placing third in the 1600m, and Amanda winning the 3200m in 12:08 in the rain.

3/18-3/19/11 Camarillo Distance Relays and Invite/Atascadero Memorial Meet
Great Job D-Squad! The Distance crew traveled down to Camarillo and rolled out. To start things out on Friday evening, The girls DMR cruised to victory winning by a straight away and the boys team ran a tough 4th place. The next day was characterized by personal bests. John Nichols ran tough in the f/s 1600m and ran a even split pr of 4:47 followed by Blake who pr'd in 4:53. Josh Davis ran a nice early season pr also running a even split race and running tough against a CIF Master Meet finalist finishing in 4:22. He eastablished a #7 ranking on the AGHS all time 1600m list. In the girls 1600m, Amanda ran a smart race and won the 1st heat in a pr of 5:37. In the second heat Natalie ran a solid early season pr of 5:28 and Hannah ran a very quick early season time of 5:12 running tough against a CIF Masters Meet Finalist. Hannah lowers her #5 ranking time on the AGHS All Time 1600m list. Jade ran a very smart and quick even split pr in the 800m 2:26.7. I was very impressed with how all of our runners ran very smart and strong by focusing on their race plans and working the second half of the race. This is just the beginning.

Great Job Hugo!!!Hugo had a greats senior season and finished it with his first appearance to CIF Finals in the 1600m and placed 6th in a solid 4:21.72.
The race was very tactical with Elias Geydon taking it out fast the first lap and Hugo was leading the chase pack.
Things got very interesting the 3rd lap when other runners started to make moves, but Hugo raced smart and covered them. On the last lap Hugo was in 2nd place with a 125 meters to go, but ran out of gas on the final straight away. What a tough race.Splits:400m: 66 800m: 2:11 65 1200m: 3:16 65 1600m 4:21.72 65

Great Job Distance Crew!
Way to compete against some of the best from around the state and other states.
The freshman boys ran very tough in very windy and hot (100 degrees) weather.
Trevor ran very smart and finished in sixth place right with 2nd through fifth place in a time of 4:44 for the full mile. He raced right with the pack and had a blazing last 100m. Jonathon ran very tough but ran out of gas the last 600m. These guys ran against some of the best freshman milers in the state.
Hannah Stevens had a solid first mile, but had a very unforgiving second mile. It was still a great experience for Jonathon and Hannah Stevens.
Hugo's performance was the highlight of the evening for the AGHS runners. The sun was setting and it cooled down quite a bit for his race.
Hugo was content to put himself right in the mix the first 2 laps of the race and started to knock off 70-71 second laps. The pace slowed a little bit the second mile so Hugo decided to start racing when it most mattered and took the lead of the chase pack (2nd place) the 5th lap.
On the last lap he tried to make a big move in the beginning, but fell behind when a guy past him on the back stretch but pulled it together with 150m and finished hard battling with the 4th place runner and almost catching the 2nd place runner. He had a 14 second pr (9:40 - 9:26) and moved to #4 on the All Tine 3200m list. Great Job everyone! Splits:

5/15/10 CIF Prelims at MoorPark HSDivision II Prelims
Great Job to all of our athletes for making it and competing very well in CIF Prelims.
We are in a very tough Section with stiff competition.
Here's some race summaries:Boys 1600m: Hugo got caught up in a very tactical race which was moving at a pedestarian pace the first two laps and then he broke out to the lead and a ran a 2:04 last 800m to win his heat pretty easily in 4:21.
Things are looking good for him next week. Great Job Hugo!
It's all coming together!!!
Girls 800m:McKenzie had to face some very fast and deep competition in the 800's. The girls in her heat were content on taking it out fast. McKenzie ran very tough and finished close to pr (2:20) in 4th placed and missed advancing on.
Great Job McKz!Boys 800m: Dan followed his race plan and went out in 58 seconds and pushed the 3rd 200m keeping contact with the pack and kicked it home to a sweet pr of 2:00.72. Great Job Danny Boy!
Girls 3200m: Hannah Stevens followed her race plan of going out with the leaders and coming through the mile in 5:30 looking smooth, but her sickness from the past 3 weeks caught up with her in the second half of the race.
She fought her way through it and ran tough to finish in 9th place in her heat and 11:20 (1 second shy of her pr).Great Job Hannah!
Boys 3200m: Cullen went out and was pulled along by the massive train of boys hitting a consistent pace. Cullen tried his best to stay with the chase pack and battled through the last 3 laps running a great time of 9:52. Great Job Cullen!4x400m: McKenzie ran great and split a 61.9 and Hugo got after it and ran 51.4.
Way to represent the D-Squad.
The boys relay easily qualified onto next week.

WOW!!! Way to roll out d-squad.
You guys put it all together at the right time.
We showed up to the meet to compete!!!
Coach Reid and I are very proud of you!
The way all of you put together the race plans and comitted yourself to each race was amazing.
It is great to see most of the seniors make it to CIF.
Congrats to McKenzie for her first PAC 7 League title in the 800m in a dominating fashion and to Hugo for his back to back PAC 7 League Titles in the 1600m and 800m.
Also, the boys 3rd through 5th place sweep in the 800m; The girls 3rd through 6th place sweep in the 3200m and Hugo's and Cullen's 1-2 punch in the 3200m were all outstanding D-Squad performances.
Josh also gave it everything he had in the 1600m with a highly debated fall and came back to pr in the 800m running tough with his battle wounds. Congrats to Dan and Hannah S. for laying it out on the line to make it CIF.
Jade and Trevor also had great freshman performances in the varisty races. Jade placed 5th in the 800m in a pr time of 2:28.9 and Trevor placed 6th in the 3200m.

3/19/10-3/20/10 Camarillo Distance Relays/Invite and Atascadero Invite Atascadero Results: http://www.phototiming.com/meets/ATA10/Results.htm Camarillo Relays/Invite Results: http://www.dyestatcal.com//?pg=dyestatcal-2010-TrackField-Results-March-19-Camarillo-Distance&PHPSESSID=7e9ac956e6c1c990ce54fdbb55633d28 What a great weekend of Track and Field for the Distance squad. On friday night our boys and girls distance medley relay squads smoked the fields down at Camarillo. In the Girls Relay Hannah Stevens caught the leader on the final leg, then raced her and then put a gap on her in the last lap. In the boys relay, after the first two legs Josh Davis opened up the lead for us which was established by Uriel and Hugo cruised a 4:29 on the final leg to lead us to victory. We looked realy strong. On Saturday Natalie Hagler and Trevor Cowan ran really strong to place well and pr in the f/s 1600m and 800m. In the girls varsity 1600m our girls team made it look like a XC race by packing it up. Hannah Stevens raced well up front to place 2nd in a pr of 5:18. In the boys 1600m Josh Davis busted out a huge pr 4:30 finishing in 9th place pulling Cullen, Dan, and Jose along in this very competitive 1600m. In the varsity boys 800m Hugo ran a tough race in the wind. He got into trouble in the beginning, because he had to dodge the official who was standing in the middle of the track and then got caught off. He had to waste alot of energy getting around the massive field and by that time the two leaders had a large gap on the field. He ran a solid 2:00.1 and almost caught 2nd place at the end. At Atascadero Amanda Trecartin came up big with a huge pr in the 3200m running 12:01 placing 5th. Her previous pr was 12:36 from a couple weeks ago.
