![]() Career Education is an integral part of the curriculum at NHS. As freshman, students begin a four-year commitment to identify career paths for their future. Exploration of postsecondary options continue with each consecutive class. The NHS personnel is dedicated to providing insights of interests and abilities, as it relates to academic and career choices of each student, during their educational career at Nipomo High School. The Career Guidance Center is a valuable resource for student planning into continued education and career exploration. NHS offers the CHOICES on-line program which allows students to identify career interests and research the career pathways into specific occupations. A complete listing of colleges and universities around the nation is also incorporated into the program, which include major, financial obligations, and scholarships. The Career Center also houses college catalogs from community colleges, California State University, University of California, independent colleges, out of state colleges, as well as technical and vocational institutions.
