Week of May 13th to May 17th

Kindergarten:

Come visit our Rainforest on Thursday night for Open House! Classsrooms will be open from 6:00-7:00 pm.  See you there!

Learning Targets for this Week:

• Sight Words: We are done with sight words for the year!  Please practice with the new (and old) cards I sent home.  They are yours to keep!

   
•  In Math, we are learning about subtraction.
  
•  In Science, we are learning about the rain forest.

 Important Dates: 

May 15th - PTO meeting at 6:30 pm in the cafeteria-Childcare provided!

May 16th - Open House

May 20th - Mrs. Tabarez's Last Day

May 27th Memorial Day - NO SCHOOL!

May 30th Sports Day

June 7th Minimum Day & Last Day of School!

Learning Targets for this week:

• In Math, we are working on addiing with 2 digit numbers.
• In writing, we are working on using a topic sentence, writing 3-4 details and an ending.
• In reading, we are noticing how things are alike and different (comparing and contrasting) to better understand the story.
• In Science, we are beginning a unit about the rain forest. 
• In Spelling, we are working on the vowel + r in store.
